we are apparently seeking a temporary, part-time Accounting Clerk for
Job Duration:
January 15, 2008 - April 30, 2008
Summary:
This temporary part-time (30 hrs) non-exempt position is part of the
Finance/Accounting Team and performs AR/AP and Payroll functions as
well as other related activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
Accounting Clerk:
• Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks,money
orders substantiating business transactions.
• Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies,
and obtains approvals for payment.
• Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports,
and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
• Input payments to client's accounts, balance to report and file
packets linked to PsychConsult software.
• Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
• Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds
received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer
spreadsheets and databases.
• Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering
questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
Payroll Administrator:
• Ensure that all timesheets are approved by proper supervisor for payment.
Also:
•Have the ability to work independently and a flexible approach to
work
•Have personal computer and basic accounting skills (we will provide
training)
•Honest and reliable person
•Have e-mail box and ability to check it at least 2 times a day
•Have couple of spare hours (mainly in mornings.)
